History Fish Market
The Fish Market in Antwerp was opened in1894 and was situated
between the Schelde-, Riem- and Goede Hoopstraat and the St
Michielskaai. In the Riemstraat (current location of the new Boffi
Trade Shop) the Fish Market was semi-industrial complex with three
naves and arched gates.
When the docks lost their function after World War II, the Fish Market passed into disuse.
Boffi's first Trade showroom in the Benelux is opened in Antwerp on November 24, 2005.
In an industrial space of 350 m² kitchens as well as bathrooms are being presented.
The Old Fish Market incorporates the innovative and sophisticated Boffi
kitchen- and bathroom solutions, Contrast's contemporary interior
design concepts and Bang & Olufsen's vision- and sound
installations.
The cooperation between these three companies (Boffi, Contrast House
decorators and Bang & Olufsen / Van Havere vision- and sound
studio) means a complete concept for living is available under one roof.
